Luckdragon's Angels Pet Therapy Group's mission is twofold: First to train qualified pet and handler teams and secondly, to be a resource of highly trained teams for the institutions that want therapy pet visitation.

Luckdragon's Angels does not charge for this service, nor are any of our handlers' expenses (such as gas for our cars and insurance) financially reimbursed. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors, funded by private donations and assisted by corporate sponsorships.

Luckdragon's Angels provides on the job instruction for rookie teams by mentoring from one of our experienced handlers. This one on one attention is critical to the success of our new volunteers. Our membership dues are $25.00 per year, paid after passing our testing. This modest amount helps defray the cost of providing identification badges and other administrative operating expenses. Because Luckdragon's Angels is a Delta Society Pet Partner, we offer discounted insurance through Delta Society, at additional cost.

We have peer review, mentor newly certified teams, and act as a resource to support our volunteers; we act as a resource for team support; we facilitate placements; and we advocate the benefits of therapy pet visitation within our community. In 2008 Luckdragon's Angels Pet Therapy Group became an affiliate group of READ (Reading Education Assistance Dogs).
